On October 18, Frieda Afary and Wonda Powell were invited to give keynote speeches to a conference on the future of libraries at the San Francisco Public Library. Frieda Afary spoke about “Confronting Disinformation and Book Bans by Cultivating Critical Thinking and Empathy.” Wonda Powell’s speech was entitled, “From Critical Thinking to Critical Race Theory: Unearthing History.” The speeches can be viewed by clicking on the link below.
